One of the cool things about traveling for work is those rare (and I do mean RARE) opportunities to visit some of the sites around the country. After one of my appointments cancelled last minute, I decided to check out the Aztec Ruins National Monument in Aztec, NM.
These 900-year old ruins give insight into how the Ancestral Puebloans lived long before Europeans came to this country. They even have a reconstructed Great Kiva, where they had religious ceremonies and village meetings.
This site is one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites and is definitely worth a visit if you’re ever near Farmington, NM, or Durango, CO.
